  1. Air Preheating R-Eco

    Air Preheating R-Eco
    Energy saving and efficiency are key factors for modern industry. One of the most significant energy users in a typical production facility is the boiler and, recognising this, Babcock Wanson offers the R-ECO solution, which provides improvements in boiler efficiency of up to 98%*. The R-ECO is a combination of two technologies:
    1. Combustion air pre-heating: This technology on its own increases the overall boiler but it can also increase the NOx emission.
    2. Flue Gas Recirculation (FGR): FGR helps reduce the formation of NOx emissions in the flue gas to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

    The BWD series of Fire Tube Steam Boilers feature three pass design and use a coaxially located furnace tube providing optimum distribution of mechanical stress in operation. This is a key feature for boilers that operate under low or variable steam load and ensures long equipment life. High quality dry steam is provided due to generous steam space and integral separator.

    Steam outputs from 10,000 kg/h to 30,000 kg/h
    BWR Fire Tube Boilers feature three pass design and include a tubular construction flue gas reversal chamber. This proven feature, unique to Babcock Wanson, enhances water circulation thereby greatly reducing the risk of internal fouling (sludge accumulation in the bottom of the boiler). Furnace tie rods are not required and uniform shell expansion gives the flexibility to meet large steam load changes with minimal operational stress. High quality dry steam is provided due to generous steam space and integral separator.

    Economiser Heat Recovery
    Energy saving and efficiency are key factors for modern industry. One of the most significant energy users in a typical production facility is the steam boiler and, therefore, investing in energy saving equipment should always provide a very good return on investment.
    Using its extensive expertise in energy efficiency and boiler design and optimisation, Babcock Wanson offers a broad range of exhaust gas economisers perfectly matched to the boiler to which they will be fitted. These economisers recover heat from the exhaust gas to, typically, the boiler feed water thereby optimising the overall efficiency of the plant in the most compact and cost-effective manner.
    These advanced and robust economisers can significantly increase the boilers efficiency often so much so that the return on investment can be as little as one year. More than 400 Babcock Wanson economisers have been installed on existing boilers.

    The EUROSTEAM (ESM) from Babcock Wanson is an horizontal, high efficiency, rapid steam generator. Based on our proven coil design to provide a robust, energy saving and environmentally friendly boiler, the ESM unit can produce steam from a cold start in as little as three minutes.

  10. HEB Hot Water Boiler

    HEB Hot Water Boiler
    From 90 to 2,300 kW
    The HEB Hot Water Boiler from Babcock Wanson is a high efficiency unit designed primarily for lower temperature process heating applications. With 18 models providing heat outputs of between 90 and 2,300 kW and maximum operating pressures between 5 and 6 barg, the HEB has been designed to operate in a wide variety of industrial applications.
    HEB provides a maximum water outlet temperature of 100°C and is often fitted with a fully modulating burner to provide very close control of process water temperature.
    The HEB configuration of the combustion chamber and heat exchange surfaces has been fully optimised to suit the flame geometry of the matched burner. A variety of Gas, Fuel Oil, Dual Fuel and/or Biogas can be used with the HEB burner.
