    The electronic timer relay ETR10 made by E-T-A combines functions such as time delay, pulse output and blinking with an electronic overcurrent protection in one relay.

    Typical applications:

    The solid state relay is suitable for many applications because it can be configured individually depending on the requirements. 

    The ETR10 has been designed for switching and protecting valves, motors, lamps etc. in DC12V and DC24V on-board electrical systems. No matter whether it is road vehicles (passenger cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, working and emergency cars, special vehicles), construction machinery, agricultural vehicles or rail vehicles.     A modular system for your power distribution - tailor-made to your requirements.

    The flexible Power-D-Box® serves for connecting and protecting up to 30 load circuits at one power supply. By means of two versions - Basic and Basic Plus -the user is able to meet his requirements ranging from a basic configuration to an »allround-carefree-package«. 

    An integral printed circuit board allows redundancy and provides distribution of the supply lines to the individual load channels. The integral sockets accommodate various types of circuit breakers. The portfolio ranges from thermal-magnetic to electronic circuit breakers.

    The »Basic« version minimises the distribution configuration on the pcb. The »Basic Plus« version offers even more connection convenience. It features additional terminals on the rear, providing ease of access, including wirng of return conductors.

  5. AC power distribution for rail mounting with potential-free signalling

    Tailor-made for modern communications technology in production plants:

    The AC power distribution type V0071 prevents any risk for life and limb of the operating personnel by way of its design. In spite of its high overload and short circuit resistance it features very compact dimensions. The use of the AC 230 V power distribution allows longer cable lengths and smaller cross sections of the load lines as opposed to a DC 24 V distribution. The influence of cable losses is much lower here.

    It ensures maximum reliability for the user:

    For this purpose all live parts and cables disappear into the inner layers of the printed circuit board and into the interior of the moulded rack. Power distribution onto the individual load channels is via 10 contact-safe terminal blocks and terminals contacting the inner conductor paths.     The new decentralised power distribution system V0097 is optimally suitable for supply of smaller production units within long assembly lines. 

    This solution designed by E-T-A allows thinner cables for AC 230 V or 400 V and it takes the 40 A power supply very close to the loads. Only there will it supply the required DC 24 V. An optional buffer module ensures bridging of voltage dips.

    Perfectly meeting the requirements:

    The power distribution system V0097 is suitable for the use in harsh production surroundings, e.g. in car production with robotic stations, welding units or assembly stations

    The ESX300-S electronic circuit protector in the ControlPlex® Rack reliably protects against system failure by active fault current limitation in the event of a failure. Within the shortest of times it disconnects the faulty circuit reliably and selectively. The voltage dips will not affect any adjoining faultless devices. Fire hazard is reliably excluded. By means of status LEDs the ESX300-S even indicates alarms on site. Trouble-shooting is supported effectively.

    The ESS30-S electronic circuit breaker with additional attribute “low energy breaker” holds a standard-compliant combination of mechanical circuit breaker and electronic overcurrent protection.
    Less losses and high packing density
    The new circuitry concept of the ESS30-S reduces current consumption and the total power loss by approx. 30 % compared to standard solutions in the market.

      E-T-A unveils a world first: the EBU (Electronic Breaker Unit), a newly designed hybrid protective element for a stable energy security of UPS systems. UPS means “uninterruptible power supply”. These systems are used to ensure permanent power supply even in the event of a mains failure. And this is our dilemma: The current supplied by the UPS is not sufficient to magnetically trip the overcurrent protection. Hence, the entire UPS system will be disconnected. The so-called “uninterruptible power supply” will interrupt!

      Type EBU - the solution for reliable power safety

      The E-T-A circuit breaker type EBU for AC 230 V consists of an MCB that is approved for short circuit interruptions up to 10 kA and of an add-on electronic circuitry, taking over measuring and evaluation tasks. The product is available with the typical MCB ratings 6 A, 10 A and 16 A with B and C characteristics and is directly operated at the output of the corresponding UPS.

      Easy handling

      The EBU can be adjusted to the actual load conditions and the capability of the UPS unit in question by means of an adjustment potentiometer. For this purpose the device is simply adjusted to the current rating of the UPS and the load. Thus the device will reliably trip in the event of a failure. And only the load path concerned will be disconnected. All other paths remain unaffected. The EBU unit tolerates switch-on operations and the corresponding high inrush currents. Users benefit from faultless operation and, in addition, from significantly reduced costs.

        E-T-A Circuit Breakers, quality designer and manufacturer of a broad range of electro- mechanical and electronic products for circuit protection, has introduced a new solid-state power relay offering a noiseless relay function together with electronic overcurrent protection in a single unit, thus minimising the space requirements and the number of plug-in components.

        Designed for standard 4-pole automotive relay sockets (to ISO 7588), the E-T-A Electronic Standard Relay ESR10-P ISO Maxi is suitable for 12V DC on-board electrical systems, is rated to 50A and offers remote re-setting in the event of an overload trip. The ESR10 is suitable for a wide range of 12V DC systems, for example switching and protecting motors, lamps and magnetic valves in road, construction, agricultural and rail vehicles as well as for work and leisure boats, and for industrial applications in process and automation. The solid-state design of the E-T-A ESR10 relay offers wear-free switching and is unsusceptible to shock, vibration and dust. Silent switching can bring benefits for applications inside a passenger cabin. It also requires a far smaller closed and switching current compared to a standard electromechanical relay. In the event of a trip through short circuit or overload, the type ESR10-P can simply be re-set remotely by switching it off and on, rather like a re-settable fuse. The type ESR10-N ISO Micro is a smaller version solid-state relay offering short circuit protection only and is rated to 30A.The ESR10-P ISO Maxi is packaged in a 30cm x 30cm x30cm housing and complements the long-established E-T-A E-1048-8 which also combines the capability of a remotely controllable electronic load disconnecting relay with self-limiting characteristics, and optimised overcurrent protection similar to that of a high quality circuit breaker.         E-T-A introduces the first track-mountable mechatronic circuit breaker offering worldwide approvals

        E-T-A Circuit Breakers, quality designer and manufacturer of a broad range of electro-mechanical and electronic products for circuit protection, has introduced the first track-mountable electronic circuit breaker with physical isolation offering worldwide approvals. The new E-T-A ESS31-T mechatronic circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection against overloads and short circuits for whenever the current in a 24V DC control circuit might exceed the current carrying capacity of the conductor or the rated value of a component.


        The E-T-A ESS31-T is a fully featured circuit breaker for equipment protection with an electronic-hybrid trip characteristic, which is approved as a UL 1077 supplementary protector and also to EN/IEC 60934, for fixed current ratings from 0.5A to 12A. It ensures globally certified protection of equipment in control cabinets and field components,  and protects 24V DC control circuits in cabinets designed in accordance with UL508A.


        Featuring a single trip curve for all types of loads, the ESS31-T enables protection of a wide range of 24V DC switch-mode powered automation and safety equipment. In the event of a failure, the ESS31-T will shutdown electronically a single faulty output, while allowing all other load circuits connected to the same power supply to continue working as normal.  It ensures a controlled stoppage of the machinery and allows efficient troubleshooting: after the problem is solved, the load output can be simply re-activated by a press of the ON/OFF button.In applications with long load lines or small cross section cables, the ESS31-T typically disconnects an overcurrent of 1.2 times the rated breaker current within 500ms, with final physical isolation after 5 seconds. In the event of a low resistance short circuit in a load path, disconnection will occur after 100ms. High short currents or capacitive in-rush currents of electronic modules are limited by the integral current limitation of the circuit breaker, preventing wear of the mechanical contacts or switchgear. This minimises the need to regularly replace mechanical components and reduces machine downtime, while saving on maintenance and service costs. The E-T-A ESS31-T is just 12.5mm wide and features status indication, visually by a multi-coloured LED and the ON/OF switch position, as well as by integral signal outputs.

Unlike standard fuses, the E-T-A 1657, 1658 and 1659 single-pole circuit breakers are easily and quickly reset after tripping due to overcurrent. Between them they offer a choice of current rating and tripping characteristics, blade or screw terminals, thread-neck or snap-in mounting, and button or auto reset. Watersplash protection for the actuator button is offered as an accessory.

        Ideally suited for the protection of motors, transformers and cables in a very wide range of industrial and consumer applications, all circuit breakers in the family feature a trip-free, snap-action mechanism ensuring reliable and automatic disconnection in the event of an overcurrent, even with a blocked actuator button. Each model has different dimensions and different characteristics. Between them they offer a full range of current and voltage ratings for the protection of AC and DC loads.The new E-T-A 1657 is a single-pole, thread-neck mounting R-Type TO CBE with EN 60934 and other international approvals. The type 1657 can be specified for applications in a choice of current ratings from 5A to 20A for use on 250V AC or 32V DC, with blade or screw terminals. Featuring a manual reset button, the body measures just 29.1mm x 22.5mm and 14.4mm in width. Typical protection applications include industrial equipment, power tools, battery chargers, UPS, motors, medical equipment and power generators.The E-T-A 1658 is a single-pole R-Type TO CBE with EN 60934 and other international approvals. The type 1658 can be specified with a thread-neck and push-button actuation or a flush head with auto-reset functionality. It is available in a choice of current ratings from 5A to 30A for use on 240V AC or 28V DC with blade terminals. The body measures 32.0mm x 27.0mm and 14.0mm in width. Typical protection applications include power supplies, battery chargers, motors and consumer products.The new E-T-A 1659 is a single-pole, thread-neck mounting R-Type TO CBE with EN 60934 and other international approvals.         Today E-T-A Circuit Breakers announced the availability of its new X3130 Appliance Inlet Module. The X3130, integrated with E-T-A’s double-pole 3130 thermal circuit breaker, combines a C14 appliance inlet module, rocker switch and resettable overcurrent protection in one compact package.  This three-in-one device allows design engineers to streamline the number of components in their designs - cutting installation time by 66 percent - and reduce the overall cost and size of the equipment.

        Available in current ratings up to 15A and AC 240V, the new X3130 solution provides protection from harmful overloads and potential short circuits. It has a C14 appliance inlet module (to IEC 60320) and is designed for screw-type mounting which reduces the chance of accidental removal of inlet from equipment by users.
         
        The X3130 Appliance Inlet Module is approved to UL, VDE and CCC and, in combination with the 3130-FA.A thermal circuit breaker, is designed for use in applications where the equipment and power cord are packaged separately  – primarily in medical, office, laboratory, floor care and professional audio equipment applications.
