Rod Ends

Hunger standard steel/steel and maintenance-free rod ends are available in a range of diameters from 20 to 160 mm.

Special bearings can be produced in all types, sizes and material properties to suit the application.

Rod Wipers

HUNGER wipers rings are designed to keep out extremely fine dust, metal particles, grains of sand and other particles such that the rod seals and bearing elements behind it are not subjected to premature wear as a result of contaminant ingress.

Rod Wipers available:

• AI for 12 mm to 2000 mm rod diameters
• AI-D for 14 mm to 600 mm rod diameters
• AI-ST for 20 mm to 400 mm rod diameters

Rotary Actuators

HUNGER manufacture single & double rack rotary actuators for applications where limited rotary motion at a constant torque is required. These highly developed actuators are manufactured in standard and special formats producing torques up to 200,000 Nm and rotary angles up to 720°.

Single Piston Rotary Actuator:

• High torques up to 50,000 Nm
• Swivel angle up to 720° with adjustable rotary angle stop and end position damping
• Single or double output shaft, keyed or splined
• Flange or foot mounting
• Rack piston sealing with Hunger slide ring seal
• Special guide lining for maintenance-free operation
• Precise control guaranteed through leak free support in all positions

Double Piston Rotary Actuator: 

• Double piston version designed for high torques up to 200,000 Nm

Rotary Distributors

HUNGER multi port rotary distributors are used where services such as hydraulic fluids, water & compressed air need to be fed to rotating machinery.

Distributors can be designed to meet customer specifications with up to 44 channels of mixed media and for operating pressures up to 400 bar. Electrical feeds are also possible through slip ring assemblies integrated into the distributor.

Hunger distributors incorporate roller bearings and Hunger DFE low friction low wear seals to guarantee long reliable life in operation with many different medias.

Rotary Seals

HUNGER rotary seals are mainly used in rotary feed units for separation of oil or other fluids at different pressures, often subjected to pressure on both sides.

The small profile of the seals keeps external dimensions of the rotary feed units to a minimum.

• Suitable for all hydraulic and pneumatic applications
• Standard program includes axial, rotary and static seals developed in house
• Bespoke plastic components produced for any application
• Manufacturing processes include injection moulding, vulcanising, compression moulding and machining.

• Excellent sealing effect with very low friction
• No metal-to-metal contact inside the hydraulic cylinder
• High levels of safety and reliability with long service life In addition, full production flexibility allows rapid delivery of both standard and special seals.

GE..B-A

Description:

Same as H-A type, but with:

• Larger sphere diameter
• Wider inner ring
• Larger tilting angle
• Higher load carrying capacity

GE..BN-A

Description:

Same as H-A type, but with:

• Extended inner ring and turned shoulder
• Inner ring width = bore diameter
• Installation into clevis fork without spacer rings at full tilting angle

GE..BNW-A

Description:

Same as HW-A type, but with:

• Extended inner ring with machined shoulder
• Inner ring width = bore diameter
• Installation into clevis fork without spacer rings at full tilting angle

GE..BW-A

Description:

Same as HW-A type, but with:

• Larger sphere diameter
• Wider inner ring
• Larger tilting angle
• Higher load carrying capacity
