We also have a 5 Axis machine for jobs that are highly complex. Constantly investing into our development, we have recently acquired a big Dugard 3 Axis machine to build upon our CNC Milling roster. We have a wide range of CNC Turning capabilities along with a team of experienced engineers to provide our customers with high quality complex machined parts. Constantly investing into our development, we have recently acquired a Mazak Integrex 35Y to build upon our CNC Turning roster . All our products are in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard ensuring they are inspected at every stage of the manufacturing process and are delivered at the highest quality. 

Proud owners of a 3-axis CNC Abrasive Water Cutting Machine, we can cut almost every material on it with extremely high precision. The advantages we gain from water cutting are that it allows thicker materials to be profiled, with less material wastage than machining and that the properties of the material are not affected, as it is a cold-cutting process.

We are proud to have one of the largest precision surface grinding facilities in Wales. Our large surface grinder can grind plates as large as 3000mm x 1300mm and will hold tolerances of 0.05mm flat and 0.0125mm parallel. All our products are in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard ensuring they are inspected at every stage of the manufacturing process and are delivered at the highest quality.

JR Gilbert Engineering has an extensive capacity for the manufacture of precision gears, worms and wheels, racks and pinions, spur and helical gears, straight and bevel gears, internal and external splines and keyways. From the manufacture of large gears for cranes and heavy machinery to much smaller gears for gear boxes and machine repair. Utilising our CNC lathes and Milling machines we can manufacture a gear you require from raw billet.

We provide extensive coded welding and fabrication services at JR Gilbert Engineering. Our services include :

We, here at JR Gilbert Engineering, have acquired a 5 Axis machine ( 400mm x 335mm x 500mm ) in order to cater to customers that require highly complex and precise parts.  All our products are in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard ensuring they are inspected at every stage of the manufacturing process and are delivered at the highest quality. 

Slotting forms an essential part of gear cutting, and with a capacity of 1000mm diameter and a 12″ stroke we can slot most internal keyways as well as other shapes that can’t be produced using a rotary tool, for example : square corners.
