Built-in display features aid and assist system integration

 

Display solutions and embedded systems provider, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the availability of a new fully integrated 4.1-inch TFT display module. The DWIN DMG72720T041-06WTC features an IPS (in-plane switching) TFT display with a built-in dual-core microcontroller-based ASIC, a touch controller and a fully integrated InCell PCap touch panel.

 

The smart TFT module uses a UART-based serial communications display interface that enables a simple yet cost-effective method of system integration and supports the development of custom user applications without the need for any additional drive electronics.

 

High performance TFT - featuring a square 4.1-inch, IPS TFT LCD with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels, with wide viewing angles of 85 degrees in all directions (left/right, up/down), and 8-bit RGB data enabling a colour palette of up to 16.7million colours. A white LED backlight delivers a brightness rating of 400cd/m². A fully integrated InCell PCap touchscreen also features. The 4.1-inch display module has outline mechanical dimensions of 82.8mm (w) x 79.1mm (h) x 6mm (d).

 

Easily configured - A predefined PC-based application development environment supports a wide range of graphic functions and library elements which allows the smart display to be easily configured to support graphical user interfaces across a broad range of applications such as data entry, keypad access, remote control, security systems, smart home devices, equipment control and monitoring. The display module also features 16MB of onboard Flash memory which enables graphics, icons, images, corporate branding and text to be uploaded via the serial interface.
