IC Sensors

IC Sensors – IC being short for ‘integrated circuit’ – are also known as IC temperature sensors. An IC sensor is a two-terminal temperature transducer with an integrated circuit. The sensor element of an IC temperature unit is only small, and it has a very fast response time. The output produced by the transducer element of the unit is proportional to the absolute temperature. IC sensors come in various types and with various configurations. However, the standard and most common temperature range is 55 to 150°C. The sensor output can either be digital or analogue. IC sensors are used in a variety of applications from circuit boards to telecommunications and industrial immersion applications.
