The term commercial property (also called commercial real estate, investment or income property) refers to buildings or land intended to generate a profit, either from capital gain or rental income. Types of commercial properties include retailers, galleries and hair and beauty salons. A Commercial Property Agent, also known as an Estate Agent, is charged with managing the rent or sale of commercial property. In terms of rent, a Commercial Property Agent is charged with ensuring occupancy, handling rent, contracts and leases and day to day issues raised by the land-lord or the tenant. In terms of selling, Commercial Property Agents are charged with the selling of commercial properties which includes the marketing, legislation, and the final sale. Commercial Property Agents are hired by those who want to sell, buy, rent out or rent a commercial property.
