Inkjet Printers

Inkjet printers started replacing dot matrix printers in 1980s and up until now have remained as the dominant printing technology in most offices and workplaces. Although, laser printers have certainly captured market share at an alarming rate, there is no chance of a complete disappearance of inkjet technology at least not for another few decades. Inkjet printers as the name suggests use jets of ink or in other words they spray the ink stored in ink cartridges for creating images on a paper. Inkjet printers offer high quality printing at a cheap rate and most ink cartridges can print thousands of pages. A4 size paper is the most widely used, although there are certainly inkjet printers available for other paper sizes. Unlike laser printers, inkjet cartridges tend to be much cheaper.
