Equine Buildings

Equine buildings, often referred to as equestrian buildings or equestrian facilities, are spaces that have created (and continue to be maintained) for the total purpose of housing, training and competing equids (horses). Essentially, equine buildings serve as horse accommodation. Inside these equine buildings, horses are usually sub-divided (through a box or a stall) with the purpose of stopping horses injuring each other, eating each other’s food and to keep male and female horse separate. Types of equine buildings include stables, barns, riding halls, livery yard, boarding stable and livery stable. Equine buildings are used in the field equestrian to home horses.
