CMM Probes

A coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a device for measuring the physical geometrical characteristics of an object. This machine may be manually controlled by an operator or it may be computer controlled. Measurements are defined by a CMM probe attached to the third moving axis of this machine. In CMM, the probe forms a measurement system that is tight and balanced, which accuracy and repeatability certified by the manufacturer. This level of quality is presented in records in the form of a calibration certificate, which should come with all CMM purchases. However, over time a probe can get damaged, worn out or in need of recalibration, which is why CMM probes are available for purchase separately. CMM probes are used by those with a CMM machine, namely those in the field of aerospace, automotive, electronics, industrial or medical applications.
