Mezzanine Floors

Mezzanine floors work a little like bridges in warehouses, they are elevated so that when so that you can retain an open area below the floor and store large bulky items above. There are two types of mezzanine floors, one is a two-tier (or raise aisle) shelving system and one is floor over shelving system. A two-tier shelving system is when storage is above and below the floor and is proven to be very cost effective. A floor over is when shelving is below and bulk storage is above, in which case support is needed on the floor. Mezzanine floors are used in a wide range of warehouses.
