Disc Valves

A disc valve is a device which regulates, controls or directs the flow of fluids (such as liquids, gases, solids and slurries). They work by opening, obstructing or closing passageways. In each case, the disc valve is the movable obstruction inside the body and while usually disc-shaped, they actually come in various different sizes. Types of disc valves include hydraulic, pneumatic, manual, solenoid valve and motor valves. Disc valves are used in process plants and in the pneumatics and hydraulics. They are also used in many industries including chemical, minerals, plastics, pharmaceuticals and food and dairy applications as well as many more gravity-flow applications.
