Thrust Washers

Thrust washers are designed to be used in rotary applications as a bearing surface. They are also known as rotary thrust washers and their primary function is to prevent movement along a shaft axis, working with thrust bearings to support an axial load. Standard thrust washers are the types used in the automotive industry - particularly in engines, but thrust washers come in many sizes and specifications, meaning that they can be used in a variety of applications. Stainless steel is the most common material type, with graphite used for applications in high temperatures. Thrust washers can be used in a variety of applications, including those classed as high-wear, including transmissions, pumps, winches and motors.
