Stethoscopes

A stethoscope is a medical advice that works acoustically by allowing for the listening of internal sounds inside the body (in both animals and humans). They are commonly used to listen to the heart and lung sounds but can also be used to listen to the intestines and also blood flow in the veins and arteries. Types of stethoscopes include acoustic, electronic, foetal and Doppler. Stethoscopes are used by doctors, nurses and medical practitioners for the purpose of diagnoses or to monitor a patient’s response to treatment. They are also used by vets and have some non-medical purposes, such as the diagnosis of a malfunctioning automobile engine.
