Coat Stands

Coat stands are less noticed but important pieces of office furniture. Although coat stands can be used throughout the year, their importance increases in the winter season when almost all the employees in an office need are looking for hooks to hang their coats or jackets. Coat stand consists of hooks at the top of a stand which is attached to a heavy base. A number of hooks on a coat stand can vary anywhere from 3 to 8 or more. Coat stands usually have heavy bases for stability, as a lightweight may fall under the weight of coats. Most modern offices have coat stands as they are also used for hanging umbrellas or hats throughout the year. Due to the support required for holding multiple coats, coat stands are mostly made of heavy metals such as steel.
