Pencil Sharpeners

Pencil sharpeners are used for sharpening the pencils and normally consist of a metallic or plastic body along with a metallic sharp blade. Pencil is rotated within a sharpener and the inbuilt metallic blade peels off the outer coating of the pencil along with the inner graphite core. Sharped pencils are more suitable for writing or drawing anything as they leave a clearer mark and marks left by un sharped pencils are often not as aesthetically pleasant to human eye. Some pencil sharpeners also come with a waste container which stores the waste generated during the sharpening process. Sharpeners come in various shapes and the ones used by children are especially available in several exotic shapes.
