UV Cameras

UV cameras use special technology (called CCD technology) to provide high sensitivity in the UV range of the light spectrum. Light which is visible to the human eye covers the spectral region from about 400 to 750 nanometers. This is the radiation spectrum used in normal photography and the spectrum most ordinary cameras can capture images from. The band of radiation that extends from about 1 nm to 400 nm is known as ultraviolet radiation. UV cameras are capable of capturing images in this spectrum. Exposure times on UV cameras can be adjusted from micro seconds up to one minute by specialist software depending on what range of the UV spectrum you wish to capture images from.
