Optical Adhesives

Optical adhesives are used to cement or bond optical component together much like a clear glue would. Many optical adhesives set themselves, while others must be cured with a curing lamp to quicken then adhesion process. Optical adhesives put the user in control by enabling precise positioning of all optical components. Optical adhesives are used to bond glass-to-glass, metal-to-glass, metal-to-plastic, glass-to-plastic or metal-to-metal bonding. Common optical adhesive equipment includes Dispenser Barrels and Accessories, Dispensing Guns and Hand Plungers and Handheld UV Curing Lamps. Optical adhesives are used in the field of optics for bonding optical equipment together like prisms, achromats and various other precision compound optics.
