CNC Machining

Machining involves various processes, whereby, a piece of raw material is cut into final shape and size by a controlled material-removal process. Machining more commonly refers to metal but can also include wood, plastic, and ceramics. In CNC (computer numeric control) Machining, a process used by the manufacturing industry, the process is controlled by computers which control the machine tool. Initially, the computers may well look like a standard PC, but they actually have unique software specific to the CNC machining process. Tools that can be controlled through CNC includes lathes, mills, routers and grinders. Some of the industries CNC machining is used include in (but not limited to) are mathematics, industrial arts, and mechanical drafting.
