Laser Machining

Laser machining is the process of cutting using a laser. Laser machining works by directing the output of a high-power laser, usually through optics. The laser is controlled by CNC (computer numerical control). A CNC (computer numeric control) is the process used to describe the automation of machine tools. In CNC, programmes are controlled by commands encoded on a storage medium (usually a computer). Laser machining is typically used for industrial manufacturing applications but is used by schools, small businesses, and hobbyists.
