  1. Acoustic Power Generators

    Acoustic Power Generators
Acoustic testing is based on the combination of a control system with an acoustic power generator to produce the sound waves and signals for the testing of products and components. Here at Data Physics we can provide high performance acoustic power generators and have previously supplied generators to the military, defence and aerospace industries, and for academic research and product development in university engineering faculties.

We offer both high and low frequency SignalForce Acoustic Power Generators - our high frequency generator, the LE-APG-10K has a frequency modulation of 1.25 kHz, whilst our low frequency option has a maximum modulation of 200 Hz. We can install generators as part of an entire acoustic testing system if required.

For more details of our Acoustic Power Generators, please contact us.
  2. Acoustic Testing

    Acoustic Testing
Acoustic testing is an important method for the testing and quality verification of new consumer products and engineering installations. It operates through the analysis of the sound waves that are emitted when a material or object is subject to stress. At Data Physics we supply high quality acoustic testing instruments for companies ranging from aerospace engineering facilities to automotive manufacturers.

We provide the SignalCalc Dynamic Signals Analyser for acoustic testing - our systems enable general signal level recording, sound pressure spectral measurement, real-time octave and third octave testing, and sound power and quality checking.

For more details of our full range of Acoustic Testing equipment, please feel free to get in touch with us.
  3. Balancing

    Balancing
Balancing is required for rotating machinery to ensure it operates efficiently. When the centre of mass of a rotor does not coincide with the axis of rotation there follows a condition of unbalance leading to poor performance and inefficiency. As the speed of rotation increases so the level of vibration also increases. At Data Physics we help companies operating rotating machines rectify unbalanced machinery with our accurate vibration measurement systems.

Our measuring instruments will determine the level of unbalance and the compensatory mass necessary to restore balance to the machinery. We provide the SignalCalc Balancing system to balance rotors. Our systems can carry out single plane, dual plane or multi-plane balancing.

For more information on our Balancing systems for rotating machinery, please contact us.
  4. Event Capture and Diagnostic Triggering

    Event Capture and Diagnostic Triggering
Event Capture involves the monitoring of a wide range of signals surrounding a mechanical process in order to capture the signals during a particular event. The data gathered for analysis will therefore include the signals around the event and during it and can be used for fault diagnostics. The amount of data to be collected can be set with certain triggers established that will begin the detection process.

At Data Physics we provide high performance SignalCalc Analysers for Event Capture. The analysers will monitor time and frequency signals and gather data according to your instruction. Isolated events and false triggers will be ignored by the analyser if you are trying to analyse a particular trend of events.

For more details regarding our Event Capture and Diagnostic Testing systems, please contact us.
  5. Gear and Bearing Analysis (Demodulation)

    Gear and Bearing Analysis (Demodulation)
Demodulation is an analytical technique for the isolating of particular signals of interest from amongst a background of other noise and harmonic interference, or if the signal is mixed up with others as modulations of frequency or amplitude. Demodulation is a commonly used method of assessment and analysis for the checking of gears and bearings for faults within the automotive and process industries.

Here at Data Physics we provide the high performance SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser for the purposes of demodulation. The analyser will extract original modulated frequencies from carrier waves for assessment and also provide amplitude and frequency demodulation.

For more information relating to our Demodulation systems for gear and bearing assessments, please contact us.
  6. High Intensity Acoustic Power Generation

    High Intensity Acoustic Power Generation
High Intensity Acoustic Power Generators are often used in aerospace engineering where high levels of acoustic power are required in research and development to simulate circumstances such as blast offs and rocket fire where there is extremely high air velocity. The power generators operate by amplifying the acoustic power to an intense level through a reverberation chamber or wave tube.

At Data Physics we can supply companies and acoustic test facilities with high and low frequency acoustic power generators. We have the engineering experience and knowledge to design and install entire acoustic power generation and testing systems if required.

For more information regarding the High Intensity Acoustic Power Generators we can supply at Data Physics, please contact us.
  7. Minesweeping

    Minesweeping
Minesweeping systems are used by naval vessels for the purpose of detecting and nullifying the threat of mines in the sea. Here at Data Physics we provide high performance minesweeping systems based on acoustic testing technology - our SignalSound Underwater Acoustic Systems can be used on minesweeping operations over long periods of time.

Our systems provide high power, extremely low frequency acoustic projection as part of minesweeping systems. Our low frequency underwater projectors operate at frequencies of 4 Hz at their lowest, and up to 1 kHz at their highest.

For more details of the Minesweeping systems that we can supply here at Data Physics, please feel free to contact us.
  8. Rotating Machinery Diagnostics and Vibration Analysis

Rotating Machinery Diagnostics and Vibration Analysis
Vibration analysis and diagnostics is vital for the smooth running and operation of rotating machinery within industrial installations such as turbines, generators, motors, and engines. Vibration analysis is a cost-effective method of ensuring the safe and high performance of rotating machinery - the analysis will check levels of machine wear and will diagnose faults and problems.

Here at Data Physics we supply the high quality SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser for the carrying out of vibration analysis. For analysis of turbomachinery in the process and power generation industries that require advanced diagnostics we also provide the SignalCalc Turbo for comprehensive rotor analysis.
