Acoustic Control Systems
Acoustic Control Systems are used to control acoustic power generators during sound testing of products and engineering materials. The controllers provide the random noise signal to the power generators within the reverberation chamber containing the product, before microphones issue feedback to the control system enabling the signal frequency to be adjusted to reach the desired level.
At Data Physics we supply high quality acoustic control systems to automotive manufacturers and acoustic testing sites. Our SignalStar Acoustic Controllers provide closed loop, octave based controls, with the same dynamic performance as a random controller. We also provide SignalStar Matrix Controllers that allow you to control several generators simultaneously at varying frequency bands.

Acoustic Power Generators
Acoustic testing is based on the combination of a control system with an acoustic power generator to produce the sound waves and signals for the testing of products and components. Here at Data Physics we can provide high performance acoustic power generators and have previously supplied generators to the military, defence and aerospace industries, and for academic research and product development in university engineering faculties.
We offer both high and low frequency SignalForce Acoustic Power Generators - our high frequency generator, the LE-APG-10K has a frequency modulation of 1.25 kHz, whilst our low frequency option has a maximum modulation of 200 Hz. We can install generators as part of an entire acoustic testing system if required.

Acoustic Range Calibration
Acoustic Range Calibration, also known as acoustic ranging, is designed to be carried out within commercial, research, and military shipping and submarines. Acoustic ranging consists of checking the acoustic signature emitted by shipping and picked up by your systems for its quality and strength and identifying defects within your acoustic systems that must be eliminated.
Acoustic ranging requires precise wide band projector systems with low frequency capabilities. At Data Physics we provide the high performance SignalSound Underwater Calibration and Measurement system for proving the performance of acoustic systems. Our systems can be used in a towed or static hull-mounted configuration.

Acoustic Testing
Acoustic testing is an important method for the testing and quality verification of new consumer products and engineering installations. Aerospace
Here at Data Physics we understand the rigorous testing that must be carried out in the aerospace industry to make sure that aircraft and spacecraft are sufficiently robust to meet the climactic and other structural challenges they will face when in operation. We supply the SignalStar Dynamic Signal Analyser, the SignalStar Vibration Controller, and the SignalForce Electrodynamic Shaker amongst other equipment for use in aerospace engineering and testing.
Our instruments have previously been used by NASA for testing purposes - they can be used to measure and analyse aerospace components to check compliance with industry standards on matters such as ability to withstand atmospheric pressure, extremes of temperature, and launch issues.
