  1. Product Vibration Qualification and R&D

    Product Vibration Qualification and R&D
Product qualification requires materials and products to reach and pass necessary industry quality standards or those laid out by customers regulating that item's response to vibration and stress. Only when a product has reached the necessary quality certification can it be used or passed over to the customer. Here at Data Physics we provide the equipment for product quality verification for use using the research and development phases.

We have provided vibration testing and product qualification equipment to clients in the automotive, aerospace, defence, and electronics industries. We are well-aware of and experienced in working with international guidelines and quality standards for military, automotive, commercial aviation and seismic testing.

For more information relating to our equipment for Product Vibration Qualification for use during R&D, please contact us.
  2. Random Vibration Control

    Random Vibration Control
Random Vibration Testing provides a replication of real world conditions and stresses during product testing and development. The testing supplies statistics with random time data and controlled amplitude and frequency measurements. The method of testing is commonly used in aerospace and automotive manufacturing, for quality validation of electronic products, and carrying out quality standards pass/fail testing.

At Data Physics we can provide measuring systems with capabilities for random vibration control and for mixed mode or random on random testing in which a structure or component is exposed to broadband and cyclic energy at the same time. Our signal analysers and vibration controllers utilise advanced control algorithms to ensure fast and accurate measurements are made.

  3. Shock Testing

    Shock Testing
Shock Testing is an important part of quality assessment and research and development for products in many industries. Analysing the response of the product to shock testing will ensure that the product will withstand the stresses and strains of constant use if it is to be installed within engineering works or machinery, or have the requisite durability and toughness to continue working despite knocks if is an electronic item such as a phone.

At Data Physics we can provide our SignalCalc Signal Analysers or dedicated SignalCalc Drop Test equipment for shock testing. Using our instruments enables companies to subject products to a diverse range of shock tests, from pneumatic shock testing to shipboard and pyro-shock analysis.

  4. Swept Sine Vibration Control

    Swept Sine Vibration Control
Swept sine vibration control is a traditional and fundamental vibration test for product and component quality checks. Swept sine testing utilises a single sine tone with a varying frequency, phase, and amplitude and is of particular use for the study and analysis of structural responses at resonance of civil engineering materials and for fatigue testing of automotive and aerospace components.

Here at Data Physics we provide high performance signal analysers, vibration controllers, and electrodynamic shakers for sine sweep analysis, resonance searches, and multiple frequency sine control for durability testing of engine mounted components.

For more information on our equipment for Swept Sine Vibration Control, please contact us.
  5. Turbine Blade High Cycle Fatigue Testing

Turbine Blade High Cycle Fatigue Testing
High Cycle Fatigue Testing is a key part of quality verification of aircraft engine turbine blades and the testing of turbine blades for use in power generation. Thorough research and development and exacting quality assessments are vital to avoid turbine blade failure during operational use. Here at Data Physics we provide a full range of equipment for fatigue testing. We offer shakers for excitation of the turbine blades and our SignalStar Vector with Sine Resonance Search and Dwell software for controlling levels of vibration.

Our systems also enable swept sine and resonance search measurements to be carried out. Our SignalStar Vibration Controller provides the capability to control the high resonances created by turbine blades and connect with analysis software.

  6. Vibration and Shock Environmental Test Types

Vibration and Shock Environmental Test Types
Simulated vibration and shock environments are an important part of product quality testing and validation across many industries. At Data Physics we provide measurement equipment and software to support a wide range of test types depending on the nature of the product or structural component being assessed. Our equipment can support swept sine vibration control testing, resonance searches, random vibration controls, shock response spectra analysis, shock and transient testing, and time-data replication.

Our SignalStar Vibration Controllers provide excitation control during research, whilst our SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser offers a complete measurement platform for assessing data from all types of vibration and shock tests.
