Swept sine testing utilises a single sine tone with a varying frequency, phase, and amplitude and is of particular use for the study and analysis of structural responses at resonance of civil engineering materials and for fatigue testing of automotive and aerospace components.

    Synchronous Averaging is the reduction or removal of background noise and other signals during the analysis of a single signal type. When trying to isolate and accurately measure a rotational signal there will be other signals that blur and distort the intended measurement and make it difficult to decipher. At Data Physics we provide the necessary equipment to carry out synchronous averaging to make getting a measurement possible.

    Our SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser possess a synchronous averaging capability - using tachometer inputs the analyser removes asynchronous vibration sources in order to isolate the synchronous component signal you wish to analyse.
