Balancing
Balancing is required for rotating machinery to ensure it operates efficiently. When the centre of mass of a rotor does not coincide with the axis of rotation there follows a condition of unbalance leading to poor performance and inefficiency. As the speed of rotation increases so the level of vibration also increases. At Data Physics we help companies operating rotating machines rectify unbalanced machinery with our accurate vibration measurement systems.
Our measuring instruments will determine the level of unbalance and the compensatory mass necessary to restore balance to the machinery. We provide the SignalCalc Balancing system to balance rotors. Our systems can carry out single plane, dual plane or multi-plane balancing.

Buzz, Squeak and Rattle Testing
Buzz, Squeak and Rattle (BSR) testing is an integral part of the assessment of automotive components. BSR acoustic testing functions through the analysis of sound waves emitted by the components when they make noises such as buzzing, squeaking, or rattling and therefore indicate poor fitting, wear or the need for lubrication.
Here at Data Physics we offer a variety of testing instruments for assessing automotive components - we can supply SignalForce Shakers and Vibration Controllers for the evaluation of noises, and our SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analysers for third party measurements during BSR testing.
