  1. Process

    Process
The Process industry includes manufacturing of paper, chemicals, textiles, food and beverages, and some metal processing. Much of the machinery and equipment used requires high levels of testing and analysis to optimise the performance and production levels, and ensure manufacturing efficiency is at its highest possible level.

At Data Physics we supply high quality testing and development instruments to optimise production methods within the process industry. We have particular experience operating with paper and pulp and petro-chemical plants to improve manufacturing processes. Our signal analysers and vibration controllers will monitor stress and vibration levels and present comprehensive data for assessment.

For more information relating to how we can assist companies in the Process industry, please contact us.
  2. Production and Quality Testing

    Production and Quality Testing
Quality validation checks of dynamic systems, sophisticated electrical equipment and high resonance components require advanced high performance testing instruments and software. Here at Data Physics we provide the necessary high quality instruments for testing product quality and responsiveness to noise, vibration and stress to customers in the aerospace, automotive and defence industries.

We can provide dynamic signal analysers, vibration controllers, and shakers for pass/fail production checks, resonance and frequency response testing, and impact testing. Our instruments are especially useful is there are specified quality standards to be met for particular products.

For more information on our Production and Quality Testing, please feel free to contact us.
  3. Production and Quality Testing

    Production and Quality Testing
Components and parts for use in rotating machinery require rigorous quality checking and testing during and after production, before they can be safely installed. At Data Physics we can provide manufacturing companies with the necessary equipment and measuring instruments for end-of-line testing to validate quality before products are passed on to factories and plants.

We supply the SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser for customised quality testing and data processing. The analyser will enable you to perform benchmark testing on products to meet necessary quality standards. We can also provide the SignalCalc Turbo for the testing of large-scale machinery and engineering products for use in power generation.

For more information relating to our Production and Quality Testing equipment, please feel free to contact us.
  4. Pulp and Paper

    Pulp and Paper
Pulp and paper production relies on a complex production system in which there are many processes that can be analysed and assessed to improve efficiency and overall performance. At Data Physics we provide the finest testing and measuring instruments to improve production methods for companies within the paper and pulp industry.

Our SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analysers will identify faults and problems within fast-moving production equipment, and provide the necessary data and solutions to optimise the performance of your pulp and paper machinery.

For more details of how our analysers and vibration controllers can assist Pulp and Paper production, please contact us.
  5. Pump and Fan Testing

    Pump and Fan Testing
Pump and fan testing is a simple method of monitoring the performance of pumps and fans used in engines and other engineering products. If pumps and fans are allowed to become worn or suffer fatigue they will create excessive noise and vibration and lead to lower performance. At Data Physics we can provide the tools and instruments for testing pumps and fans when in situ and following use, or during the research and production phases.

We can provide your company with instruments for balancing or order analysis of pumps and fans. Our SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser enables the diagnosis of faults and problems with fans and pumps and provides a platform for further data analysis.

For more details of our instruments and equipment for Pump and Fan Testing, please contact us.
  6. Pyro-Shock Capture

    Pyro-Shock Capture
Pyro-Shock Capture is the testing of products with a dynamic impact similar to an explosion. Products and equipment for the military and defence industries as well as building and structural materials must be subjected to pyro-shock testing to ensure they are sufficiently robust and tough to meet the required standards. The pyro-shock test process involves the capture of high frequency transient data and further analysis of Shock Response Spectra.

Here at Data Physics we can provide our SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analyser or SignalCalc Drop Test software for pyro-shock testing and data processing. Both systems can be fitted with shock response spectra analysis on all input channels.

For more details of our products for Pyro-Shock Capture and Testing, please feel free to contact us.
  7. Realtime Octave

    Realtime Octave
Realtime Octave analysis takes sound signals and energy emitted during acoustic analysis and filters them to provide useful and meaningful data as a basis for further analysis and assessment. Realtime Octave filtering is an important part of product testing and quality verification. At Data Physics we can provide a wide range of Realtime Octave filters and have previously supplied our high performance filters to the electronics, computer and telecoms industries.

We can supply our SignalCalc Realtime Octave Analysis systems which will give realtime octave based and third octave measurements. The 1/n octave measurements can be further processed following testing to produce 1/6, 1/12 and 1/24 octave band spectral analysis.

For more information regarding our Realtime Octave filters and how they could be of help to your company, please get in touch with us.
  8. Rotating Equipment Manufacturer

    Rotating Equipment Manufacturer
At Data Physics we can supply manufacturers of rotating machinery such as turbines, generators, pumps and compressors with the technology and software to optimise performance and drive up efficiency and production levels. Our signals analysers and vibration controls enable you to monitor and reduce noise and vibration levels to create the finest rotating equipment possible for customers.

We offer Dynamic Signal Analysers for the assessment of rotating machinery at varying speeds, and SignalCalc Turbo systems for extended vibration testing of large rotating installations such as generators and turbines.

For more information on how our instruments can help your company if you manufacture Rotating Equipment, please contact us.
  9. Sensitive Equipment Vibration Criteria Testing

    Sensitive Equipment Vibration Criteria Testing
Much structural and engineering equipment requires low levels of vibration for it to function at its peak levels. The performance and safety of items of precision equipment such as nanotechnology, optics, semiconductor manufacturing tools, and automotive and structural engineering products can be adversely affected by high levels of vibration, though many will be constantly subject to some vibration on account of vehicular traffic, wind, air pressure and noise.

Such sensitive equipment requires highly accurate vibration testing that utilises frequency spectra third octave band analysis of velocity data. Here at Data Physics we can provide signal analysers for precision vibration testing and the acquisition of highly accurate data, and shakers to specify levels of vibration during experiments.

For more information on our Vibration testing equipment for Sensitive Equipment, please contact us.
  10. Servo Loop Response Testing

    Servo Loop Response Testing
A Servo Loop is a circuit that picks up negative performance and feedback in a mechanical process and then corrects and rectifies it. Such Servo Loops are used in mechanisms included in various products, ranging from aircraft and commercial vehicles, to electronic and telecommunications devices. Control systems designers must be able to trust the Servo Loops they install in products to provide accurate and precise feedback and control over the mechanism.

Here at Data Physics we provide high performance equipment for testing Servo Loops. The most effective testing method is through stepped sine analysis. Our SignalCalc Dynamic Signal Analysers have a stepped sine analysis application with coherence limiting, variable step speeds, and source levels.
