The Data Physics 900 Series Dynamic Signal Analyser combines signal analysis capabilities with a new distributed real-time signal processing engine to provide unrivalled dynamic testing capabilities. The 900 Series hardware is designed for demanding field applications, and with modular gigabit Ethernet architecture, the 900 Series can be expanded to over 1,000 channels for laboratory use.

    Our SignalForce Accessories are specifically designed to be used with our shakers to ensure that all resonances that can be excited are investigated during research and development and the quality checking and validation process. At Data Physics we can supply companies with head expanders, clip tables, and fixtures developed using 3D modelling for use with our inertial or modal shakers.

    We can also provide accessories for use during shaker and vibration testing including monobases, noise reduction enclosures, and chamber interfaces depending on the nature of the product or application being tested.

  2. SignalForce Amplifiers

    SignalForce Amplifiers
    Our SignalForce Amplifiers are designed to connect with an electrodynamic shaker from any manufacturer to provide extra drive. We can provide both linear and digital amplifiers - our linear models are available between 30 and 1000 VA, and our digital switching amplifiers for medium to large shakers come between 1 and 470 kVA.

    Our amplifiers utilise Faraday cages, filtered interconnections, and common mode chokes for symmetrical currents to ensure maximum efficiency and performance. We can also provide an E-Link Control interface to connect with our digital switching amplifiers to enable remote and constant control of the amplifier whilst operating as part of a large installation.

    SignalForce Parts and Service
    Here at Data Physics we can provide parts and servicing support for our SignalForce products to ensure that you experience a minimum of downtime during product and materials testing and research. We tailor our response to your business needs and provide maintenance, relocation, repairs, calibration and installation for our shakers.

    Shakers are a vital part of vibration testing and excite a structure, component or product in order to measure the levels of vibration, resonance, and amplitude that follow the structure being subjected to stress. Such testing is vitally important for testing civil engineering structures and in product quality validation in the electronics and telecommunications industries.

    Here at Data Physics we offer a wide range of shakers and electrodynamic shakers to be used in conjunction with a vibration controller and dynamic signal analyser. We can provide air and water cooled shakers, inertial and modal shakers, and a wide range of accessories including shaker tables, slip tables, power amplifiers, shaker head expanders, and thermal barriers for use in environmental testing.

  5. SignalSound High Intensity and Underwater Acoustics

    SignalSound High Intensity and Underwater Acoustics
    At Data Physics we can provide high intensity and underwater acoustic testing equipment for use in aerospace manufacturing, oceanographic research, on-board sonar, and military and defence applications. High intensity testing is carried out in a reverberant acoustic facility or progressive wave tube where high levels of sound pressure can be applied to aerospace components during quality checks.

    Underwater acoustic testing can be used for sonar calibration and training purposes, mine and underwater threat detection in military and commercial shipping, and ship signature generation. Data Physics owns Gearing and Watson and harnesses the experience of over 40 years creating underwater acoustic testing equipment.

  6. SignalStar Engine Simulator Controller

    SignalStar Engine Simulator Controller
    The Data Physics SignalStar Engine Control Simulator is designed for use in the automotive and aerospace industries during the testing of powertrain components that must be quality checked before engines are manufactured and therefore require simulated engine conditions. Our Engine Control Simulator enables users to control harmonic orders and levels of engine speed and torsional vibration during testing.

    The Engine Control Simulator has a dynamic range of 120dB and engine speed can be programmed to combine both RPM speeds and constant speed segments. Individual harmonics can be tuned on or off during the testing process whilst engine speed can also be controlled manually.

  7. SignalStar Matrix

    SignalStar Matrix
    The SignalStar Matrix is the most advanced vibration controller that we offer at Data Physics. The Matrix provides high performance single shaker or multi shaker control and can control between 2 and 16 shakers at one time using our advanced Abacus DSP hardware. The Matrix is ideal therefore for use in vibration testing in academic research into material properties and testing of civil engineering structures where multiple excitation sources are required to replicate real-life conditions.

    When used with single shaker applications the Matrix provides up to 1024 input channels. A throughput disk in every Abacus chassis enables time data to be streamed direct to disk for continuous recording regardless of the number of channels in use.

  8. SignalStar Scalar

    SignalStar Scalar

    Our Data Physics SignalStar Scalar is a shaker controller specifically engineered for vibration testing with smaller channel count applications. The Scalar provides between 2 and 8 input channels and utilises our advanced DSP hardware and control algorithms for consistent high performance. There is a simple and user-friendly intuitive interface to assist quick and efficient testing and data processing.

    The Scalar provides a control system for a wide range of vibration testing - it can support sine, random testing, classical and transient shock tests, shock response spectra analysis, mixed mode and time replication. The control system can be operated through an Ethernet connection or using the on-board CPU when connected to a mouse and keyboard.

  9. SignalStar Vector

    SignalStar Vector
    The Data Physics SignalStar Vector provides an easy-to-use vibration control system with data analysis tools. The Vector can support the full range of vibration tests, including sine sweeps, random tests, shock testing, SRS analysis, resonance search and dwell, FFT analysis and dynamic signal analysis. The Vector is powered by advanced Abacus hardware and connects to a PC or laptop via an Ethernet connection.

    The Vector can be configured to between 4 and 32 input channels, and a throughput option enables continuous data recording on disk. The user interface enables extensive data processing and analysis, and displays available include Transfer Function, Response Channels, and Tolerance Limits. Data gained using Vector can be further used for modal and operating deflection shape analysis.

    SignalStar Vibration Controllers
    Our SignalStar Vibration Controllers utilise sophisticated control algorithms and advanced Abacus distributed DSP hardware to provide an ideal system for use in product testing and quality checks. Our controllers can be used with both hydraulic and electrodynamic shakers during vibration testing and provide stable control and fast loop speeds, with up to 1000 input channels and a control frequency range of up to 20kHz.

    Here at Data Physics we can supply a range of Vibration Controllers to meet your particular measurement requirements. We can provide the SignalStar Scalar with up to 8 inputs, the SignalStar Vector with 24 inputs, and the SignalStar Matrix that has up to 1024 input channels for large channel count applications.
