Closed cell EPDM sponge rubber (or ethylene propylene diene monomer) is an expanded closed cell sponge. It is a versatile material which is resistant to environmental factors such as ozone, UV and weathering. The closed-cell structure of EPDM means it is impermeable to gas (such as the air) and liquids. It can provide a waterproof seal around structures. EPDM sponge rubber also provides thermal durability and electrical resistance.
